Respiratory System Disease

The long-term effects of air pollution include serious diseases like cancer. The highly polluted city air slowly metamorphoses our healthy and pink colored lung tissues into darkened particles of smog, dust, and other pollutants, making the lungs more vulnerable to infection. The respiratory organs deliver oxygen to the circulatory system. The circulatory system transports the oxygen to all body cells. Oxygen is used by cells to liberate the energy needed for cellular activities.

The singular function of the respiratory system is to serve as a gaseous exchange route between the atmosphere surrounding the body and the tissues within the body. This allows the cells to have access to the oxygen they require and also a way of dispelling their carbon dioxide waste. Environmental damage to our lungs is caused by a lot of factors like smoking, second hand smoke, hay fever and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, known as COPD. It's all that bad mucus.

The quality of the Air we breathe affects the quality of our health. Air quality has an impact on the health of our lungs and the entire respiratory system. In addition to oxygen, the air contains other substances such as pollutants, which can be harmful to health. As for conditions and diseases that can be prevented through regular consumption of alcoholic beverages in moderate amounts, research has also shown that alcohol has the ability to reduce the risk of developing gallstones. When you noticed a person with a mechanic voice box(an artificial larynx), it is likely that he or she had his or her larynx removed due to cancer. A persistent cough, hoarseness or voice changes, a lump in the neck, and breathing problems are some of the symptoms of laryngeal cancer.

The first type of bronchitis, the acute one, can develop from a cold that you might suffer and usually lasts a week at the most. It can also be caused by viral infections. It is accompanied by cough, pain in the middle of the chest and sometimes even fever. Asthma is a form of respiratory disease which is chronic as it affects many Americans. This disease is characterized by constriction of the airway, occasionally, inflamed and it's also lined with an excessive amount of mucus.

Chest physiotherapy increases the intake of oxygen. The choice of the right way out of many to administer physical therapy will depend on the disease or injury of the patient. Normal coughing is not able to clear the lungs of accumulated mucus in some cases. Mucus present in the lungs can also be loosened by using machinery to vibrate the lugs. This is however a method of the last resort, only if everything else fails. The patients are also taught deep breathing techniques to alleviate diseases like asthma and bronchitis.

Conventional medicine is a place where your respiratory disease would be diagnosed based on the symptoms which occur. Chronic bronchitis has very minor symptoms and it can be easily treated. There are cause when the symptoms may get worse over the years and even start to threaten once' s life at some point, but these are rare cases.
