Walking Exercise For Health

Walking is a very good exercise. In fact this is one of the simplest forms of exercise as this does not involve any sophisticated exercise machines. Walking provides many health benefits which are on par with the other grueling exercises. Walking is a great way to get into shape, plus you can experience the great outdoors. If you live in an area where you get rain, make sure that you look into buying a treadmill. That way on those rainy days you can still walk on your treadmill. If you usually walk to work, then you could try taking a different route that is slightly longer, but quickening the pace slightly so it takes you the same time as normal to get there.

Do not walk for more than 6,000 to 9,000 steps per day, this would cause you to develop plantar fasciits, it's a typical kind of foot pain. You would be able to feel the symptoms after waking up in the morning, that is constant pains on the surface of your foot. Indeed walking gives you a better body, as it keeps your circulation going and make your system work on its best. Even if you are at home, you can do the walking too. You can climb up the stairs, move around the house and just keep your self out of the couch and keep moving.

Studies show that fast and steady walking is the best plan for fitness and disease prevention. Researchers working with people 64 years of age and older found that an hour of vigorous daily walking can actually reduce one's biological age by up to 12 years. Aside from the physical benefits it can give you, walking and running can also improve mental health as it can improve self-esteem, lessens depression and anxiety and in general, walking or running just make you feel good and relieves stress. Walking also facilitates the release of toxins from your body.

Walking also helps to keep a tab on your blood pressure. Regular walking exercise helps to strengthen your heart and in turn will increase the blood circulation. With a walking exercise program your body will get the cardio that you need to make your heart healthy. So at times you may need to walk a bit faster to speed up the process and make your body feel great. Walking can benefit anyone, no matter what age. It is a particularly good exercise for the elderly as more vigorous work outs are obviously impractical. If you do your exercise plan properly, it will be a blueprint you can use for the rest of your life.

Those who don't exercise can understand this statement very well. There are several reasons for not exercising but the only reason to exercise overshadows all of them - A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE with the added benefit of Weight Loss. Walking for two or three miles in high heels, a three-piece suit, or a wool skirt is hardly advisable. If at all possible, save your shower until after you get to work. Many office buildings come equipped with showers. If yours does, use it.
